Sean
Celaya is a freelance illustrator based out of Southern California.
Though he works full time as a graphic designer, his passion is
doodling the strange cartoons as seen in his gallery.
He has some training, though his
skills are mostly self-taught. He began drawing from a very early
age, scribbling his favorite video game characters into the margins
of grade school english homework and creating crude comic books
out of stapled inkjet paper. In Junior high he began cartooning
for the school newspaper and during highschool he discovered that
a simple, cartoony style was the most fun for him to draw.
Though his tools at the time were
limited mostly to pencils, he would eventually learn to use a
Tecra tablet PC, which has become an invaluable sidekick in his
struggle to produce the best illustrations he can.
Sean has spent alot of time learning
every program he could to help him produce art, focusing heavily
on courses that taught them through school, and he continues to
experiment with new tools and software all the time. |
